So two days ago i started the Keto Diet. If you don;t know what that it is is basically where you eat no more than 20-25 grams of carbs and way more fat than that. You eat a low carb but high fat diet.
I think thats it's going to be a little more difficult for me to go thru with it since i don't have a gallbladder, i got it removed back in 2002 i believe and when i eat alot of grease i can still feel where the liver is having a hard time adjusting to it.
So with that being said, i am taking it slow with the grease and the cheese. Next week i will be doing it full force thou. I have started going thru the keto flu yesterday and its been a little rough. You feel like you're reallly sick and your body just feels like its dragging. Today i have a metallic taste in my mouth but pickles and olives have taken that down drastically.
Since my body isn't in Keto yet i have gained 2 pounds since i started the diet. Which it doesn't suprise me because it is ALOT of fat. but i have managed to keep it under 10 grams of carbs.
a normal day for me is::
- a Atkins Protein Drink in the mornings.
- 3 eggs cooked in 2 tbsp of butter, 15 pepperoinis and 1/4cup of diced cheese for lunch.
- for dinner i have a piece of chicken with a few veggies.
- through out the day i will have 1-2 babybell cheeses.
- and i will also have some pickles and a few olives to stop the craving of the sweets.
Now at work today i did have a PB&J Sandwich that i probably really shouldnt have because of the bread. But i don't think it will affect my body going into Keto that much.
This diet is a little extreme on the body because of the different phases it goes to get to Keto. But i've seen some amazing results when you follow the diet.
I will be checking in once a week with my progress so Stay Tuned :)
If you've been following this blog then you know that ive literally tried just about everything under the moon and stars to loose my weight and nothing has helped. and when i did loose it back last year i gained every pound and once right back. So I'm expecting some great things with this 'diet' but its a lifestyle not a diet'
